Blue Ridge Boxer Rescue is committed to the rescue of purebred Boxers that have been abused, neglected, abandoned or surrendered by their owners.

Carolina Basset Hound Rescue (CBHR) is a volunteer-staffed, non-profit organization rescuing and placing stray, unwanted, neglected, and abandoned basset hounds in permanent homes. Due to limited resources, the concentration of CBHR is on bassets in the Carolinas. Rescued bassets primarily come from animal shelters in areas canvased by volunteers in various regions of North and South Carolina. Under certain circumstances, CBHR accepts owner-relinquished dogs. As with all breeds, overpopulation and owner irresponsibility contribute to an abundance of animals. CBHR is a fully recognized 501(c)3 organization.

Their mission is to promote public awareness of the Border Collie as a working breed, and provide a counseling/referral service to Border Collie owners, provide foster care and rehabilitation to endangered Border Collies, and promote spay/neuter of companion animals.

Collie Rescue of the Carolinas is a non-profit 501 C (3) organization dedicated to the safety and welfare of purebred rough and smooth collies. Our secondary goal is the welfare of the canine species and the education of people and families that interact with them. To this end we provide food, shelter, transportation, and medical treatment to collies in our care; and education to interested persons.

FHGRR is a full service rescue dedicated to providing rescue and necessary veterinary care for unwanted, neglected, abused, homeless, and displaced golden retrievers. They strive to place goldens in forever homes where they will receive a lifetime of love and care.

Full Moon Farm is an organization dedicated to the well being of the wolfdog (wolf hybrid) and captive-bred wolf. Situated on 17 beautiful mountain acres in Black Mountain, NC, they operate as a federally recognized 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization for abused and refused wolfdogs and wolves who find themselves in need of love, shelter, and care through no fault of their own.

The Golden Retriever Rescue Club of Charlotte (GRRCC) is a volunteer-staffed, non-profit organization that rescues, and places for adoption, unwanted, abused, neglected, or abandoned Golden Retrievers in the Charlotte, NC area. GRRCC orphans generally come from the local animal shelters, previous owners, or are found as strays.

An organization whose mission is to rescue retired, racing Greyhounds, provide for their health and welfare, educate the public about the availability and desirability of greyhounds as pets and place them through adoption into loving home.

An English Springer Spaniel rescue organization working in NC, SC, GA, and AL

This is a German Shepherd rescue organization which is 100% volunteer-run, non-profit serving North and South Carolina.  They have placed shepherds in forever homes from MA to FL.

The goal of Shar-Pei Rescue of VA is to help rehabilitate and re-home shelter Shar-Pei, Shar-Pei in situations of cruelty and neglect or simply families that can no longer care for their Chinese Shar-Pei. We are an IRS 501©3 approved organization. Our group is comprised of volunteers that are dedicated to finding loving, forever homes for Shar-Pei in need.

MAGDRL is staffed completely by volunteers. Like all humane groups, MAGDRL is in the unique position of helping both humans and pets. In our case, the pets are Great Danes and mixed Dane dogs, and the people are those who have or want the companionship of the breed or, often, just dogs in general.
