Dog House Program
Although ACN considers all dogs to be part of the family and prefers for them to sleep inside with their "pack," we recognize that not everyone agrees with our philosophy. We are grateful for the opportunity to give an outside-only dog a better life with a weather-resistant dog house, bedding, toys and treats. ACN does not distribute these free dog houses directly to the public; all dog houses are provided without charge through referrals from animal care and control agencies. Once a referral has been received, ACN volunteers deliver the dog house and supplies to the recipient.
If you have a dog house you'd like to donate to this program, you may drop it off at Pet Harmony or call (828) 258-4820 and we will pick it up. We also need beds, treats and toys to deliver with the dog houses. Every dog deserves to be spoiled!
Please note: These assistance programs provide temporary help to keep families and pets together, but if your situation exceeds the scope of our aid, please know that we can also help you re-home your pet through our Public Partner Program.
Breeders do not qualify for these assistance programs and will be denied.
